A lot of recent cases I’m working on include individuals hyper sensitive to the spam emails, texts and calls they receive. Because there is a general lack for an individual, personalized privacy experience for an average netizen, some may not realize when they are part of a group receiving emails, or if they may be targeted by specific bad actors.
Users and clients will frequently send me emails asking if they’re receiving something targeted at them, which is usually tied to some suspicion or necessary paranoia. If you’re not in cybersecurity, it’s not always easy to know where to look. Because of that, I took a stab at an Infographic for sharing some of the more common phishing emails people ask me. This will likely start a series surrounding “Was it just me?”
The goal? Showing those who may have grown more sensitive towards their online activity that they’re not alone.
